Housing developments with exotic names are springing up all over Gauteng province. This one is near Modderfontein, site of AECI’s chemical plant, and from some sections of the development, you also get a splendid view of the huge Isando Power Station.

Made this shot at the same abandoned and derelict hotel in Watervalonder as the shots a few posts down called Once There Was Joy Here and Kitchen Confidential.  This is was inn the “gardens” looking towards the buildings and the “stoep”, or terrace.

Rubbish!

Hopefully things won’t always be rubbish.
I spotted these bins standing in their serried ranks a few metres from my “day job” and thought they’s make a fun pic. This certainly isn’t meant as a comment on our supposedly throw-away, consumer-oriented society.
